Recognized as a C.A. Area: February 8, 9, 1986, 1st World Services Conference, San Diego, California. It was one of 16 C.A. Areas represented at this first World Services Conference.

Host to the 22nd Annual World Convention: Global Awakening: May 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 2006, Houston, TX

Since May of 2012, Texas Area was using the name, “Texas Area Service Gulf Coast” and in August 30, 2017, a motion to approve the name change from the Texas Area Service to Texas Area Service Gulf Coast was ratified at the 2017 World Conference.
